BREAKING: Widespread Damage Reported After 7.7M Earthquake Strikes Turke 7.7M Earthquake Strikes Turkey By B911 -February 5, 2023010 TURKEY – An earthquake measuring 7.7 on the Richter scale hit a depth of 10 kilometers (6.2 miles) with its epicenter located near Gaziantep, Turkey Sunday, according to local officials. At least 10 people are reported dead and that death toll is expected to rise significantly. The earthquake occurred approximately 30 kilometers west-northwest of Gaziantep and 114 kilometers north-northwest of Aleppo, Syria, according to EMSC-CSEM. Residents in surrounding countries also reported feeling the quake. Video posted to social media purportedly showed collapsed buildings. There was immediate confirmation on possible injuries or fatalities.
